Happy New Year!
January is the month we kick off the new year. It is also the month the Scouts learn about the importance of a positive attitude. Being cheerful and setting our minds to look for and find the best in all situations. As boys participate in various activities, they will come to understand that all things change and they can make a difference in how that change affects their lives. A positive outlook will provide hope and excitement for their future. When you have a positive attitude in life, you begin to look at what is really important in your life (family, friends, community), and start to have more gratitude for what you already have. You don't focus on what is lacking and what is wrong in your life, you refocus on what you have been blessed with already. Most importantly, a positive attitude is contagious. Your attitude will spread and make things better for everyone in your life.
